Step 1 and 2

I have been busy getting all of these projects lined up. I finally got them out here to tear the deck down. Then the concrete people came and tore up the sad little patio and walkway the builder gave us. We are getting a beautiful brick patio and walkway. My fountain will sit right off of the patio. I will probably landscape it next year. I will have a great view out of my window when I am quilting. The double windows on the bottom to the left of the door is where my longarm is located. Up till now I had a wonderful view of the deck steps. We are putting the steps all the way to the right so we will have a great view from the basement windows. We did key lock the door and put painters tape over the door. I did not need to walk out and fall to my death without the deck there. They will be here monday to start the deck and hopefully be finished by the end of the week.
My dogs can finally run free. I will not have to take them out all of the time. That is due to the fence not the deck. We are putting a gate at the top of the deck so I can keep them up there if I need to or any small children.
Happy 4th to everyone. I used to enjoy the fireworks but now I have to give my dog a sedative just to get through it. He flips out. If he can see or hear them it is not good.

Wow can't wait to see what it looks like when it's done. Your dog and I have something in common. I think I may have had a panic attack last night from all of the noise in the neighbor hood. It was not good. I seriously wanted to climb the walls or pull my hair out. Have a great weekend.
